On the other hand, one can see the compassion and leniency of our magnanimous Imam. He once received a message from the mother of a martyr: I myself took that message, given by the mother of a martyr, to our magnanimous Imam. The eyes of that powerful man filled up with tears! He was deeply touched by the mother’s message of respect and her sacrifice. Another example is his defense of the weak and the bare-footed – the term was frequently used by our magnanimous Imam [to mean the underprivileged]. --This is another instance of an astonishing similarity between our magnanimous Imam and the Leader of the Pious, Imam Ali (PBUH).
