He put down his spectacles and rose to his feet

I heard from a third person that the Imam’s wife had stated that the Imam never bid them to prepare tea for him. He would always state: “madam, does Eqleem (the housemaid) have tea?” several times it occurred that while he was busy writing, he felt thirsty and so he would put down his spectacles, move towards the small refrigerator that had been bought from the spouse’s money, drink water and then immediately return to his writing desk and get busy with his reading and writing.
