When in Paris, despite the cold weather and in spite of his old age, the Imam asked that the heating appliances of his residence be switched off so that he lived in similar circumstances as the people of Iran who in the winter of the year 1979 were faced with a severe shortage of heating oil and were compelled to tolerate the cold weather.
