Let them come in

One day in the company of a large number of class mates and high school students, we went to Jamaran in order to pay a visit to the Imam. However, we were told that unfortunately, the Imam was not receiving visitors on that day. The class mates and other pupils created a lot of commotion and protested vociferously saying that they wanted to see the Imam at any cost such that the revolutionary guard personnel on duty got fed up with us as they could not control the situation. While this was going on, the late Ayatollah Eshraqi emerged and with a smile on his face told the revolutionary guard brothers that when the Imam heard the commotion outside and came to know that a number of school students wanted to see him, he stated: “Don’t bother them and let them come in.” When we heard these words we could not believe our eyes and shed tears of joy. All those present there looked at us with bewilderment as we went inside the ‘Husseiniyeh’ Assembly Hall. Then the Imam entered together with his beloved spouse. On seeing the Imam, the class mates and other students broke into tears.
