With the arrival of Imam Khomeini in the Frech capial Paris, a lot of telegrams and messages of support from senior clerics, political parties, universities, and student organizations were sent for the Frech govenrmnet.
Through these messages, it was asked from the French government to provide Imam with enough facilities and civil liberties so the leader can get across his message for the world.
Here in the Iranian capital Tehran, people went to the French embassy with flowers to demand utmost facilities to receive the leader to ask hospitability for Imam.
The voices of support of people for Imam were even heard to the Elysee Palace.
The then Iranian administration had no choice expcept to give its consent to the stay of Grand Ayatollah Khomeini in Paris.
Finally, after spending about 15 years in exile, Imam returned to homeland in 1979 with the sucess of the Islamic Revolution. Imam’s message and guidelines still continue to wake the nations up across various parts of the globe.
