Imam through his historic messages and speeches delivered on the auspicious occasion of Nowruz which commences the start of spring and marks the beginning of the new Iranian year, advised the believers to undertake serious effort in order to morally and spiritually transform themselves and rush for the help of poor people.
Imam used to bring to notice a lot of issues facing the Muslim world and gripping the oppressed nations and suggested solid solutions for them.
Imam advised the nation to shield unity of expression and maintain the rule of law in the society. He frequently recommended the authorities to spare no efforts in order to solve problems facing the various walks of people in the society.
Imam Khomeini, the leader of the contemporary Muslim world, in his messages remembered sacrifices rendered by martyrs and their families for divine purpose.
The late founder of the Islamic Republic encouraged the nations to take their destiny in their own hands by cutting the meddling and influence of the colonial powers.
It is worthy to mention that Islamic revolution under wise leadership of Imam Khomeini brought about independence, freedom and democracy, and restored grandeur and dignity to the Iranian nation.
The Islamic Revolution set pattern and role model to for free-minded people and freedom-seeking nations to follow the ideals of Imam Khomeini in order to get rid of the influence and clutches of the exploiting powers.

“The day on which our oppressed nation as well as the other oppressed nations will succeed in gaining freedom from the world-devourers will prove to be an auspicious one. The day on which all the nations of the world will take the reins of their destinies into their own hands! And when all the governments wake up and see that despite all our manpower and our vast lands and great natural resources we have not acted according to the commands of Islam which fosters a pact of brotherhood among all the Muslims of the world »« and invites all of us to cling on to the" rope of God"] habl Allah [ »2« and to follow the path of Islam.”

“All problems of the world are due to these big powers who claim that they are doing these works for peace. They commit so much crime, drown countries in blood and claim that they cannot see human rights being trampled. These are mere claims and have no reality. Contrast of this is the reality. Muslims are neglectful. Oppressed peoples of the world are neglectful. If people of other Muslim countries join in the rays emerging in Iran and all shake hand and stand against so many crimes perpetrated against human beings and humanity, the works would be mended. Unfortunately, however, this work has not been accomplished and I do not know what will happen. I hope that God Almighty grant us power to resist. Today, resistance is necessary.”
